First repentance. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3v23.   Repentance entails us turning from those things in our lives that we know to be wrong.  We have help from the Holy Spirit in doing this.  Our sin is dealt with through our repentance, repentance means that we disown our sin, we recognizes it for what it is, and ask the Lord Jesus to forgive us by His blood shed at Calvary. Second is belief. Belief that God is, that He loves us, that Jesus Christ is God's only begotten Son, and that He has made a way back to Himself through the person of Jesus Christ's death on the cross of Calvary, and in His resurrection. Our faith in what God has done through Jesus Christ on the Cross of  Calvary provides us with God's righteousness as opposed to our own. Romans 3v22. (2) Related scriptures.

Third a commitment.  This means the need to receive Jesus personally.  The need to commit ourselves to God through the person of Jesus Christ.  This is done by receiving Jesus into our hearts and lives as Saviour and Lord.  God responds to our honesty, sincerity, and faith.  Asking Jesus to come into our lives and hearts as Lord and Saviour means that we have agreed to give the sovereignty of our lives to God. When someone prays through the commitment prayer the door is opened for some wonderful experiences with God in Jesus.  We also have the assurance that all is well for the future and into eternity. St John10v10, 14v1to3.  You will not have all the answers this side of eternity but as you progress in your spiritual life and read the bible which is God's inspired word to us, many of your questions will be answered.

I will attempt to answer a few questions and give you some pointers to help you on your way.  Christianity is not a religion as others, (it has become a religion), but Christianity is a relationship   (St John14v23).  I do not mean to offend, but ritual pomp and ceremony in the worship of God was meant to end with the coming of Christ, and the introduction of this into the church is not consistent with New Testament doctrine.  These things have to do with the Old Testament temple worship set up.  There is no New Testament precedent for pomp and ceremony.   It was with those who held to this kind of worship that Jesus had all the grief and for whom He had His strongest words of condemnation.  If you have ever been in love, then you will know that the feelings that you experience are both real and powerful, they are also subjective, in other words they are only experienced by you. Now try to explain those feelings to someone who has never been in love.  If you were asked to prove what you are saying is true you would have difficulty, all you have is your story (your testimony).  Well if you can understand this, maybe you can understand the experience of being born again, which is what Jesus said needs to happen before it was even possible for us to see the Kingdom of God. St John 3v3.
